Burnley manager Sean Dyche has revealed he is satisfied with the performance of his players. Even if the results are not as desired.

The Clarets were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United in the Premier League on Thursday, with Burnley remaining 18th, taking just 11 points from the game. 16 field matches

“We have been here twice and have had great results. But tonight was not even close to the number of opportunities we had,” Dyche told Amazon Prime.

“The frustrating thing is that we could have blocked in the box but we couldn’t. And they reacted before they got the goal. It was really difficult when we were down 1-3 but I think the mentality is excellent. In the second half we took the game up and tried to grab something from it.

“Overall I am satisfied with the results. I don’t think being out of the field for 18 days is one of those reasons. We have to deal with it. We were hit with coronavirus and injuries but we had a team that could play, Aaron Lennon doing well, looking sharp and doing what we wanted to do. The details in the game are what hit us.

“We intend to continue. Two may return because of the coronavirus situation and Maxwell Corknet may return, we will wait and see.

“We’ll have to wait and see. (To add to the team) January market is always difficult. Have money or no money?
