Burnley forward Aaron Lennon has revealed he regrets that the team had the chance to hit their opponents but failed to grab it.
The Clarets were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United in the Premier League on Thursday, with Burnley remaining 18th, taking just 11 points from the game. 16 field matches.
After the game, Lennon, who scored a breakthrough goal, revealed to Amazon Prime that the team had performed well in the beginning but failed to concede three goals, which turned out to be hard work.
“We had a good start. Give bad rewards like conceding 3 goals and then getting the goal back and having more chances. When you visit Old Trafford you know you have to take your chances.
“We haven’t played in about three weeks and there’s rust on us. We’ll dust off the dust and move on.
“We still have a game in hand. And we are really confident in what we are doing.”
